At Mike's request, I have removed the information on Sanke keg sales. The price of scrap metal is quite high now, so most places would rather sell their Sankes and Cornies for scrap than sell them to us. Further bulletins as situations warrant.

I hope my computer stays functional long enough for me to post this . . . Don't forget about the club brew at Chris Schroeder's place in Kewaunee tonight. He's going to do two all-grain batches. He plans to start at four and will have some muchies available. You should have received directions already. If you haven't email our esteemed president. Be there!

Hey kids! Meeting time today at Titletown. Be there!

Congrats (belated) go out to our own David Oldenburg who has been named Titletown's new brewer! He's also looking for an assistant (10-20 hours/week) brewer. If you ever wanted to get your foot in the door at a professional brewery, now's your chance!

Speaking of professional brewing, have you ever thought about attending the Siebel Institute in Chicago but wondered what it's all about? They've got a seven minute documentary on the Siebel Institute on YouTube for your perusal.

Incidentally, I was approved as a Crossover Office advocate for ProMash. Crossover Office is based on WINE which allows you to run Windows programs under Linux. As an advocate for ProMash, I will be testing the program with Crossover to make sure things work and to give some support. In general, ProMash runs well. The only problems are with the date calculator (the window for it is too narrow) and printing (the text is compressed and illegible). The latter is more troubling. I'm working on it. In the meantime a workaround is to export it as HTML and print that from a browser.

Not to frighten anyone, but I brewed again yesterday. It's a barleywine which is currently doing its Mt. Vesuvius imitation in my basement. For those of you keeping score at home, yes, that's two times in the span of a month. Hooray, me!

I hope a lot of folks can make it up north for the club brew here tomorrow. Unfortunately, we will only have four brewers instead of five (somebody remind Ryan to charge his PDA). I will be starting around 3-4:00 P.M. Ed Mathis will be here to start at 4:00. I'm not sure when Jason and Chuck will show up. I plan on brewing my Tripel, but that's subject to change.
